The government requires the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) checks your records, including blacklist, criminal, financial, corporate, terrorism, political activity and so on. The FIU’s non-refundable fee is due at this step.
Once cleared by the FIU, you’ll undergo a due diligence check. You’ll need to supply proof of the source of these funds as part of the due diligence verification. 95% of applicants that are cleared by the FIU and who pass due diligence go on to successfully attain citizenship of Vanuatu.
Your application will be reviewed by the appropriate official bodies. This final review process provides you with a letter of endorsement from the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission to the government. The final fee is due at this step.
You’ll need to complete the oath and swearing in ceremony in order to finish the citizenship process. You’ll then be presented with your citizenship certificate. The ceremony can be held in an approved Vilapass location outside of Vanuatu.
Once you’re an official citizen of Vanuatu we can issue your passport documents. You can stop the process at this step, or move on to step eight if you wish. Simply discuss your preferences with your Vilapass agent or sub-agent.
